WELCOME! WE'RE GLAD YOU'RE HERE
The forums are filled with people who are intelligent, witty, creative, passionate, and diverse. We've created just a few basic guidelines to minimize potential friction and maximize positive interactions.
CAN'T WE ALL JUST GET ALONG
We assume that if you can use the internet, you are aware of the basic rules of social interaction. Please do not ignore them simply because we are in a virtual environment.
THE MODERATOR IS BEST WHICH MODERATES LEAST
The reality is that with any community conflict will arise. The Moderators are people who have volunteered to help smooth out those "rough edges" and are authorized, and expected, to make decisions based on their judgment and common sense. It is our assumption that the players drawn to this forum will largely be self-governing; however, Moderators will intervene - only when required - for the good of the community.
GOOD TOUCH, BAD TOUCH
These forums exist solely for your entertainment and enjoyment, so please take full advantage of them. However, be aware that any attempt to alter, hack, damage, destroy or simply mess around with the Website and/or its Forums will result in an immediate, permanent banning.
DISAGREE WITHOUT BEING DISAGREEABLE
Don’t take these forums, its members or yourself too seriously. Shrug off insults with a laugh or go rifting to blow off steam. Chances are, most people here don’t know you, so don’t take things personally. If you do know each other, then you can solve your issues in person. Remember, if you seriously main or harm a person BLAME it all on video games.
TRY TO KEEP IT PG-13
Use of curse words is not forbidden, but is regulated. Try not to curse too much, or for no reason at all. Use of curse words with the intention of insulting another member is definitely not allowed. If you’re going to insult somebody, at least be creative about it.
A PICTURE PAINTS 1000KB OF WORDS
Your avatars, signatures and such should be kept to a reasonable size. The Forum restricts these elements to 160x160 190kb, but you are expected to limit yourself also. If you’re going to post an image, make sure it isn’t so large it just doesn’t fit in the forum window. If your image is big, just make a thumbnail and place a link to the image. If we consider your graphics unacceptable, we will ask you to change them. Administrators retain the right to add, modify, update, remove or change graphics as they deem necessary; however, you will be notified directly if this is done.
WHO YOU GONNA CALL
Got a question/comment/concern - Contact your friendly neighborhood Moderator. All of us are more than happy to help in any way we can, and if we can't help, we will contact Tony/Lori/Zach. Along the same lines, if you disagree with a specific Mod's response/action then go to the other Mods. There are several of us, but we all have a common goal: maintain a community where ideas, knowledge, and questions can be shared in a respectful environment. We realize that sometimes the best decision is not always the first decision.
CLEAN UP IN AISLE 5
This is your place, and as such, we depend on you to help us take good care of it. We cannot be in every place at every time and we cannot read everything - if you see something that looks inappropriate let the Mods know by hitting the "Report" button or e-mailing one of us.
